Kindness Kits Arrive

The first delivery of Kindness Kits arrived at Wahoo Elementary on February 24th, thanks to Kelly and Isabelle Johnson.

Mrs. Klepper shows us a personal care Kindness Kit with travel size items that will be used in the Elementary School. Also delivered - feminine care kits that will be made available in the Middle School.

What's a Kindness Kit? They are a response to some of our neighbors struggling to pay the rent, utilities and groceries and sacrificing basics like soap, shampoo and deodorant.

Saunders County Online, a program of Blair Healing Rooms and Blair Radio has launched a give back program - a program that helps neighbor help neighbor. We collect personal care, feminine care and household helps products, pack them in kits and give them to our neighbors via outlets they already frequent - like the Saunders County Food Pantry and local schools.

Perhaps you'd like to help? Product donations can be brought to the Back Room or the Saunders County Online Studios, or a donation can be made online at https://www.blairhealingrooms.org/hygienegift or mailed to Saunders County Online, 107 E 5th St, Wahoo NE 68066.

Donations received from Saunders County stay in Saunders County to benefit Saunders County residents unless you tell us to use it wherever the need is greatest.

Areas served: Saunders County, NE, Washington County, NE, Harrison County, IA, and in the future potentially Dodge County and Burt County, NE and Monona County, IA. Our desire is to serve the rural communities where we live. As monies allow we will expand to serve neighboring rural communities.

Track our progress here, or on our facebook pages including the new KindnessKits page.
